Every great invention, event, or idea came to be because someone was willing to put themselves out there to get it started, but almost none of them were accomplished alone. Few people began and through the help of many others the goal was accomplished. M. Russel Ballard reminded that “great things are brought about… through the efforts of many hands anxiously engaged in a good cause.” Nothing great can be accomplished completely alone. We have to rely on the support, knowledge, and skills of others, whether they lived a hundred years ago or they live today, we need their help. Whether physically, emotionally, or mentally, it is impossible for us to reach our goal without the efforts of many hands. When I first had the idea to begin America Restored, I began thinking of all that it would require and I knew it was impossible to do it on my own. I reached out for help, and with the help of a few fellow patriots, whom I am so grateful for, America Restored has been able to grow so much since then. If I had been left to work on it alone, I would have been unable to continue for these past two years. I know it can be hard when you are trying to accomplish something that is out of the ordinary or “weird” and not many people stand with you. When put in this situation, look to those who are standing with you, and rely on them and your own personal strengths and rest assured that if you are doing what is right, you will succeed. Never feel like you have to be alone because if you look around, there will always be someone there to help you accomplish what you have a desire to accomplish. Helen Keller taught, “alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.” Don’t be afraid to reach out to those who are fighting for the same cause. Let them know you’re for them and you’ll see they are there for you. Let us all come together so we can accomplish a great work.
